Kevin Lockau (Canada) "White Dog's Head" Cast Glass Sculpture: A stunning cast glass sculpture of a white dog's head. On the reverse of the sculpture Kevin painted a memo/letter and signed the bottom. Measures 14.5" tall, 11" deep, 8" wide. There is a small 2 inch crack on the bottom front of the piece. Incredible one of a kind glass piece from the Canadian Artist. Mixed media sculptor, Kevin Lockau, won the 2009 Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts/Saidye Bronfman Award. Over his career, Lockau invented three hot glass casting techniques, and was pivotal in developing the glass studio at Sheridan College, where he taught for 20 years. A founding member of 10 North, a group of Canada’s pre-eminent glass artists, he has received numerous awards and bursaries, including the Saidye Bronfman Award in 2009.
His work is represented in a number of public and private collectors and has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, France, Finland, Germany and Sweden. Lock lives in Bancroft, Ontario.
